First Baptist School, founded in 1949 as an outreach of First Baptist Church of Charleston, welcomes students from all backgrounds and hires faculty and staff with diverse outlooks. With a mission of academic excellence with a Christian Perspective, the school remains accessible to a broad cross-section of the community by keeping tuition relatively low compared to peer schools in Charleston, SC. First Baptist School provides a caring learning environment with an academically rigorous curriculum centered around a Christian worldview. We also seek to provide a holistic approach to education ensuring that our students are well-rounded through service, fine arts, athletics and many other extracurricular activities.
