Trident Academy
Through individualized, multi-sensory, and research-based teaching approaches, Trident Academy transforms the lives of cognitively capable K-12 children diagnosed with learning differences to include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, preparing them academically and socially to transition and thrive in conventional learning environments. Trident Academy students are those with unrealized academic potential who have been identified with dyslexia or related language difficulties (problems with acquisition of reading and/or written language) as their primary learning challenge.
Education available from 5K to 12th Grade
The Orton-Gillingham approach, the gold standard in multi-sensory education, is infused throughout the curriculum.
Typical class size of 6 to 8 students, with daily 2:1 Orton-Gillingham instruction for one class period in grades 2 through 8.
Offers a very structured, diagnostic, and prescriptive approach to identifying and working with the individual needs of each student
Founded in 1972 with a current enrollment of 70 students
